Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Kuwait awarded three year contract for the facility management of their Head Office building, KNPC offices club and their spring desert camp.

SYNA had employed over 165 personnel for three years to provide catering of breakfast and lunch for KNPC employees, Restaurant Services for the club building and also catering to the camp when required. Day to day cleaning services for all three facilities and their regular day to day electromechanical maintenance were carried-out by SYNA in this Contract.

Day to day cleaning services for all three facilities and their regular day to day electromechanical maintenance were carried-out by SYNA in this Contract.

Boundary Wall Fence at Natural Reserve, KNPC

Contract Name: Design, Fabrication & Erection of Boundary Wall Fence at Natural Reserve Wafra, Kuwait.

The site is located at Wafra area in Kuwait, the plot size is 200mx200m, used for natural resource. SYNA scope of work was to Design and Construct and steel boundary wall (concrete columns and steel fence). In addition to above one main entrance vehicles gate and two pedestrian gates were to be designed and constructed.

The project scope of work included all Civil works including the following activities:

1. Topographic survey
2. Soil investigation
3. Excavation and compaction
4. P.C.C
5. Reinforced Concrete foundation
6. Waterproofing works
7. Steel fence with painting

The project was finished as per the Contract Conditions and time schedule.

New Incinerator Stacks (2 Nos.) of 110m Height, KNPC

Contract Name: Design, Fabrication & Erection of New Incinerator Stacks (2 Nos.) of 110m Height at Unit-24 KNPC

The Design construction and erection of two 110M height carbon steel stacks in the new location with all accessories. The works were awarded to Gulf Spic Company Kuwait from KNPC (Kuwait National Petroleum Company)

The project scope of Design & Construction works of all civil works including the following activities were Sub-Contracted by Gulf Spic to SYNA Engineering Project Management:

1. Excavation
2. P.C.C
3. Slit Trenches
4. Reinforced Concrete Foundations
5. Water proofing works
6. Pilling works
7. Asphalt Paving

All the civil works in SYNA Scope of works were coordinated with all Electromechanical works carried out by Gulf Spic, Kuwait.

Construction works were finished in the prescribed time frame to the satisfaction of both Gulf Spic and Kuwait National Petroleum Company.

Crystal Office Tower

Crystal Tower is an office and multi-purpose Building that has been built in the financial & commercial district of Kuwait City sharq area. With its elegant and modern design the high rise building with total of 52 floors and overall height of 250 m has already become a new Landmark of the Kuwait City. HOK from USA were the Architecture concept designer for the Tower. The Detail Architectural design, structure system and all Electro-Mechanical Services have been carried out in house by SYNA in co-ordination with HOK from Washington D.C.

The Tower has three basements, the lower two for 100 car parking spaces, accessed by two numbers Car-Elevators. The upper basement is for commercial along with the Ground and Mezzanine floors. All above floors are commercial offices for Rental, accessed by 8 high speed elevators,4 for the lower floors and 4 for the higher floors. At Ground floor entrance level a steel and glazed podium of 32 m high with glass roof is provided.

The tower core was planned on South-west side with most of the external solid insulated walls. The open column free offices space of 400 M2 was planned on North-east side with glazed curtain wall on three sides to get natural light into the building with minimum sun glare & Heat.

The Tower has a huge opening from 14th to 21st floor to be used as roof terrace at 14th floor, utilized as meeting and Smoking place for people working in the Tower and has a lighted glass ceiling at 21st floor to provide a unique lighted feature in the Tower Building at night time.

A separate 7 floor high 200 Cars Parking Building is Constructed next to the tower which is connected with to the Tower Podium area at mezzanine floor with an elegant steel and glass bridge.
The special high strength concrete for the building structure was supplied by ACIC, one of the Bukhamseen company specialized in supplying high grade concrete for the local market, this company was set-up by Dr. Saib Nackasha.

Two heavy duty cranes were installed on site for the construction of this tower. One five-ton capacity self-climbing crane was installed inside the elevator shaft area and another fixed crane of 10 ton was installed adjoining the tower structure. In addition to the tower crane twin type Building Hoist were installed adjoining the tower structure to carry light building materials and workers to the upper levels.

All interior finishes and external stone cladding of the podium area were done by a Bukhamseen group company MNA. The construction of the building was finished within the prescribed budget.

Hydrotech Engineering Co. were the Sub-Contractor for Plumbing and Firefighting works for the project. Crystal Tower Project was awarded by ACI (American Concrete Institute) Kuwait Chapter for its unique design.
